Liam Meets Jamo

It's been almost 2 weeks since the arrival of Liam into our family, and as you can imagine, we've been a little busy watching the new parents adjust to being parents.
And actually, they've done a pretty good job. Liam is a happy baby, and is quite content to sit in grammie's lap, or mommy or dad's lap.  And I think he even got into papa's lap once or twice this past week.  Ben and Joanne seem to be getting by on a shortened sleep cycle, and the grandparents are doing great.  When we get tired, we hand him back and head for the "trailer park". We don't seem to be experiencing any sleep shortages!
As the new family rested comfortably at the hospital enjoying gourmet meals, the grandparents (mostly Debbie) were busy entertaining Jamo.  He has a ton of high energy, but Debbie seems to enjoy pestering the daylights out of him.  He'll run back and forth all day it seems, if someone will throw anything, and at the end of the day, Debbie is pretty pooped!
We were all looking forward to Liam's arrival at the house, and what Jamo's reaction was going to be.  We had observed him a few days prior around the house, and he seemed to be having a lot of trouble adjusting to all of Liam's traps.  What was going to happen, when suddenly Liam was sitting in those traps?  Grammie and Papa put out a few welcome signs as the time for Liam's arrival grew closer.  And then he arrived!  Suddenly Jamo get his first smell of his baby brother, and as we all knew, everything was going to work out just fine.
A couple of days later, Papa even got a chance to check the little guy out.  Mothers and Grammies tend to want to monopolize the new baby's time, but if you're patient, Dad's and Papa's will eventually be let back into the circle of trust.  You just have to be patient.
So life in San Diego. as would be expected, is revolving around visits to Liam.  It's nice to see Ben and Joanne, but we're much more interested in visiting with Jamo and Liam.  The Santee Lakes Recreation Park is just a few minutes from Liam, so we can get over there whenever we get the urge.  The weather has been horrendous.....high 90's into 100 + some days!  Which is pretty unusual for this time of year.  Should be running around 74.

We had a little issue with the transfer switch in Big Red.  When we would hook up to the 50 amp plug, it sounded like someone was pounding on the rig with a hammer.  Started acting up over in Kansas, but 30 amp was working fine.  But with the temperature so high, we needed 50 amps, so we decided to get it fixed.  I spoke with Red Bay and we agreed on what needed to be replaced, but unfortunately, I couldn't talk them into a warranty repair.  So I gave La Mesa RV a call, and they got me in for repair the following day.  I even talked them into giving Big Red a wash, which he definitely needed.  Since replacing the transfer switch, everything is back working fine.
Since everyone enjoys baby pictures, I'll include a few with this.  Liam and Joanne are doing great, and he's starting to stay awake a little longer everyday.  Jean and Mike are coming out on Wednesday, so we may go do a little traveling while they have company.  Hopefully it will be a little cooler to the north.

Thanks for the welcome John Doody.  Looks like I published it twice.  I guess that guarantees publication.
